National StartUp Awards 2020 - here we come!
Our team got the good news this week that Mortgage Propeller has been shortlisted for the National Start-Up Awards 2020; Regional FinTech StartUp for Ulster and Connacht category. (The only Northern Ireland FinTech company to make it!)
We are so proud of our organization for getting this recognition after such a strange year. So, to the team at Mortgage Propeller - well done!

The National Startup Awards is a night full of opportunities to network with leading startup talent and to celebrate with category winners.
Across the Island of Ireland, StartUps established in 2020 join together to watch as the winner is announced. Categories include FinTech, Food and Drink, MedTech, and Covid-19 Response among others. Imagine our excitement when we found out Mortgage Propeller is the only FinTech StartUp from Northern Ireland to have made the shortlist!
The winners of the competition will progress to compete and represent Ireland in the European StartUp Awards; raising their international profile and reaching new audiences.

A bit about Us
We're a brilliant bunch based out of Ormeau Baths, Belfast.
Employing 3 full-time staff members and a growing team of skilled contractors; some of which are recent graduates of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, University of Ulster, Queen’s University Belfast, and Technological University Dublin.
When the world seemed to stop this year and lockdowns drove up redundancies and layoffs, Mortgage Propeller was hiring, putting a roof over the heads of local talent to collaborate on something rather different - our Mortgage Simplifying process.
We are committed to getting First Time Buyers and Remortagers to a little place we like to call, 'Mortgage Joy' and away from pesky 'Mortgage Migraines' caused by daunting paperwork and ping-pong phone calls.
The idea originated when Matt had a long-running 'mortgage migraine' when struggling to get a mortgage on a house, bought with a credit card. Decades later, when Matt was buying again, he found the stringent process hadn't changed.
Enlisting the help of Brendan, the pair developed Mortgage Propeller as a financial-technology startup; aiming to take the mortgage application process online.
We now know Matt McAllister as our CEO and Brendan Sheehy as our CTO.
Mortgage Propeller's innovative progress is reflected most recently in the shortlist for The National Startup Awards and in InterTradeIreland's Seedcorn competition earlier this year.
